IU qualified for the final in the East region of BBL A group. The team won at home Black Sea Ticha A with 82:64 and with 2-0 closed the semi-final series in his favor.
In contention for the title in the region today, the winners will face Showtime, and both teams will also participate in the National Finals in June.
The hosts started the match with a bang and after only ten minutes of play they broke away with 28:13. In the second period, the game was much more even, and at the break they were ahead with 47:29.
The "sailors" reduced their deficit to 10 after the break, but before the last part, the opponent again had a solid lead - 66:52. In the remaining time IU kept the distance and won convincingly.
Peter Hristov led the winners with 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Yavor Tsanev recorded 20 points and 16 rebounds.
For Black Sea Ticha A each scored 18 points Haroon Darwish (10 fights) and Martin Zafirov.

BULGARIAN BASKETBALL LEAGUE (BBL) is a national basketball league established in 2016. FROM 2020. In recent years, the League has become one of the largest team championships in Bulgaria.
BBL A group, and from 2022 and B group are included as official state championships to the Bulgarian Basketball Federation. Thus, basketball in Bulgaria acquired a complete pyramidal structure. The league is structured and takes place on a regional tournament basis in four regions - West, South, East and Center.
