Blakan A suspended the team of Academician Plovdiv A from the BBL Cup tournament in an extremely contested match in the Sila sports hall.
The basketball players of Academician Plovdiv A entered the match strongly and built up a double-digit lead after the first 10 minutes of play.
The graduates of Miroslav Ralchev did not give up, however, and after a great second half, they managed to completely turn the score around and celebrate the success with 80-73.
The young talent Mikhail Kalinov was the basis of success for Balkan A with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists, a Ivo Korestilov added 14 points and 6 rebounds.
On the other side, he was the most useful for Yordan Ivanov's team Krastomir Mihov with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists, followed by Ioannis Kikrilis with 21 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds.

BULGARIAN BASKETBALL LEAGUE (BBL) is a national basketball league established in 2016. FROM 2020. In recent years, the League has become one of the largest team championships in Bulgaria.
BBL A group, and from 2022 and B group are included as official state championships to the Bulgarian Basketball Federation. Thus, basketball in Bulgaria acquired a complete pyramidal structure. The league is structured and takes place on a regional tournament basis in four regions - West, South, East and Center."
