Balkan A took first place in the BBL West A provisional standings after defeating The Fab Five by 74-69.
The hosts started the match strongly and ended the first half with a comfortable lead, after which Kaloyan Atanasov's boys played a strong second half and managed to regain part of the gap, but not to achieve a complete turnaround in the result.
Mikhail Gavazov led his team to success with 20 points and 9 rebounds, a Ivo Korestilov scored 18 points.
On the other side Georgi Krastev performed best for The Fab Five and recorded a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds, to which he also added 5 assists, and Martin Gorunov added a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Balkan A vs Fab Five – basketball match from the regular season of the BBL A Group West.
BULGARIAN BASKETBALL LEAGUE (BBL) is a national basketball league established in 2016. FROM 2020. In recent years, the League has become one of the largest team championships in Bulgaria.
BBL A group, and from 2022 and B group are included as official state championships to the Bulgarian Basketball Federation. Thus, basketball in Bulgaria acquired a complete pyramidal structure. The league is structured and takes place on a regional tournament basis in four regions - West, South, East and Center.
