Olympia Yambol wrested victory from Zlatograd after a drama with a sequel.
The team of Olympia Yambol recorded an 8th consecutive victory in the B Group of the South after prevailing over Zlatograd by 97-89.
After an extremely contested battle, seconds before the end of the meeting, the basketball players of Olympia Yambol led the result with 3 points after 2 consecutive good performances by Todor Kirilov and Martin Radnev.
However, Zdravko Ivanov's boys did not give up until the very end and after a three-pointer with the siren of Nanko Krassimirov, sent the match into overtime, in which Olympia Yambol won 14-6 and made the final 97-89.
Above all for Zlatograd it was Simeon Lichev with 34 points and 4 rebounds, a Konstantin Vassilev recorded a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds.
On the other side Martin Radnev made a great performance and finished the meeting with a double-double of 42 points and 19 rebounds, to which he also added 6 assists.

Zlatograd vs Olympia Yambol – a basketball match from the regular season of the BBL B Group South.
BULGARIAN BASKETBALL LEAGUE (BBL) is a national basketball league established in 2016. FROM 2020. In recent years, the League has become one of the largest team championships in Bulgaria.
BBL A group, and from 2022 and B group are included as official state championships to the Bulgarian Basketball Federation. Thus, basketball in Bulgaria acquired a complete pyramidal structure. The league is structured and takes place on a regional tournament basis in four regions - West, South, East and Center.
