Sportsman 1959 returned to winning ways in BBL A group. In a meeting from the West region, which took place this evening in the capital Triaditsa Hall, the team beat the last in the provisional standings Voltron with 118:94, leaving him without success so far in 13 meetings. The winners today are already 10-3 and tied with Balkan A in second place in the ranking.

Both teams requested a high-scoring match in the first ten minutes, after which the basketball players of Emil Goranov they led with 40:30. They maintained a very high percentage in the basket and at the break the result was again in their favor – 62:44.

After the break, the game was relatively even, but without much defense from either side until the final quarter Sportsman was ahead with 87:71. In the middle of the final period, the difference crossed the 20-point mark for the first time in the meeting, and the visitors had no problem winning convincingly.

They scored 27 points for the winners Ivan Tsenov (7 fights) and Boris Matrakov. Damian Stoyanov scored 25 points, each had 12 Simeon Tsenov (9 rebounds, 9 assists) and Gerasim Nikolov.

For the capital team Boris Voikov was above all with 29 points. Vasil Kostov counted with 14, Stoyan Kainarov there are 12, with 10 each Alex Atanasov and Maxim Lezginov.Х
